800 SERIES BENCH TOP THINNER

The Atomtech bench top thinner is unique in its size, versatility and low cost.

This single compact unit is small enough to sit on your bench but big enough for all your requirements. In addition to thinning, very low angle polishing of hard and heat sensitive samples now becomes a routine task
Rotating sample holder with liquid nitrogen cooling.
  • Use positive ion or neutral atom beams
  • Thinning/polishing angles from 1 through 75 degrees with automatic termination or 1 through 60 degrees with visual termination.
  • Variable power from 7 to 50 watts, giving beam current densities of 1200 microamps/cm2/source in ion beam mode.
  • Carbon cathodes for long life and easy cleaning.
  • LN2 sample cooling for both thinning and very low angle polishing.
  • Binocular scope or video camera/monitor viewing.
  • Totally oil free drag-turbo/diaphragm vacuum pumping system.
  • Full range vacuum pressure monitoring.
  • Only 46 cm wide x 55 cm deep x 45 cm high.
  • Power supply complete with timer and automatic terminator.
  • Option of reactive iodine etch facility if required.
